How Solar Contract Cancellation Works

See how Solar Freedom reviews solar contracts, gathers records, and prepares an individual case review. Not a law firm. Outcomes depend on the documents and facts.

How a Solar Freedom review actually proceeds

Solar Freedom is not a law firm. The process is an intake and document review, not a promise that any agreement will end. After you request an individual review, a specialist collects the files that identify the seller, installer, lender, servicer, and any UCC or title filing. Those names are often different companies, and mixing them up is one of the most common reasons a homeowner spends weeks on the wrong phone tree.

Intake is a structured questionnaire: contract type (lease, loan, or PPA), install status, billing problems, sales statements, and whether a home sale or refinance is pending. Document collection comes next. Issue spotting is limited to what the papers actually say compared with what was represented. Referral or further review, if it happens, depends on those facts and the jurisdiction. No step predicts cancellation, loan reduction, or lien release.

Records to gather before intake

How-it-works is the map, not the destination. Related topics on this site include solar contract help, exit options, loan questions, lien filings, and selling a house with solar. Company-specific complaint themes live in the blog, including Sunrun, GoodLeap, Sunnova, Freedom Forever, ADT, and Tesla guides. City pages cover only the published allowlist; Florida and Nevada state-law pages are not currently published as indexable resources.

Outcomes depend on the agreement, the documents, the facts, and current law. Request an individual review if you want a specialist to organize the file with you. Do not stop payments, remove equipment, or sign a release based only on this page.

What intake is not

Intake does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not start a lawsuit. It is a records conversation. A specialist may flag missing pages, mismatched legal names, or a deadline that appears on a notice you already have. Those flags are questions for you and, if you choose, for a qualified professional you retain separately. Solar Freedom can prepare an individual case review from the documents you provide. It cannot promise how a company, lender, or court will respond. If a referral is discussed, it is because the file appears to need a type of review this site does not perform, not because a result has been predicted.
